Starts Monday, November 18th, 2019. In this 4-week experiential course, you’ll learn how to balance the emotional work you do for others with the self-care you need to keep yourself and your relationships nourished and grounded. This course is suitable for: Everyone.
Tending your world without losing yourself
Whether you realize it or not, your empathy and your emotions are always working on behalf of you and your relationships. When you understand how essential your emotions and empathy are in navigating the complexities of living, you can take better care of them, and of yourself. Learning to balance the amount and kind of empathy work you do with the restorative and nourishing self care you need allows you to live more fully in an increasingly chaotic and challenging world.
Join dual-licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Trainer and Consultant Sandi Davis for a 4-week exploration of the gifts and challenges of meeting the emotional waves of life while making sure you’re not depleting yourself.
In this course, we will explore:
- What empathy is, and its role in your self-care
- The messages your emotions bring to you, and how to hear them
- Emotion work and healthy relationships
- How to craft a nourishing and empathic self-care practice that is adaptable and unique to you
Length: 4 weeks
Dates: Monday, November 18th, to Friday, December 13th, 2019
Learning and Interaction Structure: This multimedia course contains written curriculum units, audio and video components, PDF downloads, forum discussions, and live one-hour weekly webinars using the Zoom video conferencing program.
Live Webinar Discussions: These live 75-minute Zoom sessions will be offered each Wednesday from 11am to 12:15pm Pacific Standard Time and will be be recorded on our private server if you cannot attend.
Webinar Schedule: The weekly webinars will be held from 11am to 12:15pm Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesdays: November 20th, November 27th, December 4th, and December 11th.
Time Commitment: You’ll read or watch the course curriculum and interact in the forum on your own schedule (plan for a minimum of two to three hours per week), and you’ll meet with Sandi and your classmates for 75 minutes in the Zoom each week.
Bonus: You can schedule one 60-minute individual DEI Consultation with Sandi at a special 20% discounted rate during this course. A consultation can help you look deeper into any themes that come up for you during the course, and help you better understand and work with your emotional experiences.
