Reframing Emotions & Distractions

Starts Monday, January 7th, 2019: 4 weeks. Distractions can provide a much-needed break that helps us down-regulate and rejuvenate when we need to. They are a necessary part of modern life.

Exploring the Emotional Brilliance in Your Distraction Practices

Monday, January 7th to Friday, February 1st, 2019
Join Licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Consultant and Trainer, Amanda Ball, MS, for this four-week online course. In Reframing Emotions & Distractions, you’ll learn a new approach for understanding and working with your emotions and distractions in intentional and healthy ways.

This experiential online course is grounded in Amanda’s applied educational, professional, and personal experience — and on her direct study with emotion researcher, Karla McLaren, M.Ed.

What will you learn?

  • The necessity and purpose of distractions, and the various ways you can and do distract yourself
  • The difference between distractions, addictions, and habits, and the roles your emotions play in your distraction practices
  • How to identify your wanted and unwanted distractions, and make conscious changes to them so they can support you instead of hold you back
  • The important messages that your unwanted distraction practices bring to you
  • Skills for changing your distraction practices in healthy and lasting ways

This course is for:

  • People who are new to learning about their distractions, and would like to make changes to the ways they use distractions
  • People who have experience working with emotions and distractions, and would like to learn a new way of working with their distraction practices
