Soul Tending Spring 2022

Cultivating Emotional Wisdom & Practice

We welcome you to a four-month program based on The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren, and taught by licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration^® professionals Sherry Olander and Jennifer Nate. In this course, you’ll join an empathic online community to explore new information about emotions and develop deeper skills and resources to support your whole life.

You’ll learn about all 17 of your emotions: how to identify them, how to work with them, and how to utilize supportive skills and practices to access their limitless healing and soul-making power.

This course relies upon your experience with the material in The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren, and it moves forward from there into new information on the emotions, new Empathic Mindfulness practices, and new ways to develop your emotional skills and awareness in a supportive community.

This 4-month program contains 3 learning modules (of 4 weeks and 5 weeks) with breaks in between so that you can rest and integrate your learning.

This course is for dedicated learners, and is limited to 20 participants so that we can create a warm, soulful, and empathic learning community.

Course Details

Length: 4 months: Monday, March 7th, 2022 to Friday, July 8th, 2022.

Breaks: There are two 2-week breaks in this program: Saturday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 17th, 2022, and also Saturday, May 21st, 2022 to Sunday, June 5th, 2022.

Two Online Retreats: There is an online mini retreat on Friday-Saturday, March 25th-26th, 2022, and a 3-day online retreat on Friday, June 24th to Sunday, June 26th, 2022. Both retreats will be organized to fit into your time zone.

Cost: $300 per month for 4 months ($1,200 total). You’ll receive a $100 discount if you pay in full. Let us know if you would prefer to pay in installments over time, and we can create an installment plan invoice for you.

Learning and Interaction Structure: This course contains online curriculum for you to read on your own schedule and Forum discussions where we come together as a community (also on your own schedule). We’ll also meet on the Zoom webinar as a community each week.

Live Zoom Webinar Schedule: 2 options: We will meet Wednesdays from 1-2pm Pacific or Thursdays at 5:15-6:15pm Pacific. You can come to one or both of these meetings, and they will be recorded on our private server if you have to miss them for any reason.

Time Commitment: You’ll read the course curriculum and interact in the Forum on your own schedule (plan for a minimum of 4 hours per week), and you’ll meet with your instructors and your fellow learners on the Zoom for 1 hour each week.

This course is suitable for: People who have worked with the concepts and practices in The Language of Emotions and want to spend dedicated time learning to work with their emotions in an empathic and supportive community.

Continuing Education

This program is co-sponsored by R. Cassidy Seminars, who provide CE Credits for each of the 3 modules of this program (66 CEs total) to psychologists, psychoanalysts, counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, creative arts therapists, nurses, dentists, educators, and chemical dependency counselors.
