Soul Tending

Healing Your Soul With Emotions

A 4-month soulful healing program

Your emotional health and well-being are essential for you — but they’re also vital aspects of your relationships with others, and with the soul of the world.

Caring for yourself, then, is not merely a solitary act. Your self-care and emotional health radiate outward to the people in your life and into the world around you.

Tending to your own soul helps you care for yourself and contribute to the soul of the world. And it makes the lives of people fortunate enough to know you richer and deeper.

An Invitation to a Healing Community

We welcome you to a four-month program based on The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren, and taught by licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® professionals Amanda Ball, Jennifer Asdorian, and Sandi Davis.

In this program, you’ll join an empathic online community to explore new information about emotions and develop deeper skills and resources to heal your soul and support your whole life.

The Soul Tending program relies upon your experience with the material in The Language of Emotions by Karla McLaren, and it moves forward from there into new information on the emotions, new Empathic Mindfulness practices, and new ways to develop your emotional skills and awareness in a supportive community.

This 4-month program contains 3 learning modules (of 4 weeks or 5 weeks each) with breaks in between so that you can rest and integrate your learning.

This course is for dedicated learners, and is limited to 20 participants so that we can create a warm, soulful, and empathic learning community.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to access the gifts in all 17 of your emotions
  • How to identify and work with each of your emotions in new ways
  • Supportive skills and practices to access the limitless soul-healing and soul-making power of your emotions
  • Healing rituals for emotional difficulties
  • The benefits of engaging in a supportive and empathic online community

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I’ve read The Language of Emotions, but I still struggle with certain emotions. Should I take this program?

A: Yes! There is not a lot of support for our emotional lives in the everyday world, and it’s very easy to lose our sense of emotional awareness. In this program, you’ll be surrounded by an empathic community for a 4-month period of time, and you’ll have the time and space (and support) you need to learn to work with all of your emotions skillfully.

Q: Can I take this course with a friend or partner?

A: Yes! Because we all co-regulate the emotions of the people in our lives, it’s wonderful to be able to share this knowledge and these practices with your people. The online community in Soul Tending is so supportive, and it would be doubly supportive to share this program with someone you love.

Q: How will you fit the online retreats into my time zone? I’m not in the Americas.

Each retreat begins in your evening time, and concludes in your afternoon time the next day or two days hence. The instructors maintain the container and boundaries of the retreat during the entire period so that there’s a throughline, but each participant is only responsible for their own time zone. It seems strange, but these retreats always bring across-the-world connecting magic with them!

About the Instructors

Amanda Ball is a double-licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® (DEI) Trainer and Consultant, and she’s a supporting and lead teacher at Empathy Academy, and Director of Operations at Emotion Dynamics.

Amanda started her DEI teaching career in school systems, teaching emotions to high school students, teachers, and parents. She is passionate about teaching emotional awareness and skills, and learning from and alongside others in community.

Sandi Davis is a dual-licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Trainer and Consultant whose work centers on helping people integrate the deep wisdom of the soul as they navigate the challenges of everyday living. She knows that our empathy and emotions are meant to bring us more into the world, not to overwhelm us or keep us from it. They are meant to be wise and supportive guides, pointing us toward wholeness.

Sandi helps people explore ways to work with their emotions and empathy, and weave them into the larger story and meaning of their lives.

Jennifer Asdorian is a dual-licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Trainer and Consultant whose work has been shaped by the underlying notion that our emotions bring important information to us, and we can become skilled in understanding their language.  As a speech-language therapist, she teaches children and families how to deepen their emotional vocabulary and how to work with their emotions.

One of her favorite ways of working with emotions involves spending time noticing which emotions are arising, and getting to know each one through a rich vocabulary. She is endlessly fascinated by how emotions work to move a person through life’s challenges and celebrations.  She believes that the more we understand our emotions, the easier it is to understand ourselves and others.
