Starts August 12 | In this live 2.5-hour Zoom workshop, you’ll explore your body’s movement capabilities and sensations to identify and explore your emotions.
Learn how to embody your emotions by engaging with your body’s creativity, strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
You can join licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Trainer and somatic movement educator/performing artist, Chris Bodwitch for a fun, whole body learning experience mixed with reflective questions to increase the felt sense of your emotions.
By exploring your body’s limitless creative movement capabilities, you will build a sensational vocabulary to help you notice and describe the subtler inner movements of your emotions. This can help you identify the emotional skills and intelligence that you may be already working with or the emotions that you may have difficulty accessing.

What You’ll Need for This Workshop
- Enough room to stretch out while standing and lying on the floor
- A scarf and/or ball of any size
- Comfortable clothing layers
- Water and food if necessary
- A chair
- A yoga mat
- Something to draw on and with
This is a mostly movement exploration with easy follow-along exercises paired with self-reflection, writing, conversation, and group sharing. You’re welcome to keep your camera off for the duration of the session and join in conversation via writing (in the chat box) or speaking with or without your video camera on.

Q: Is the workshop recorded?
A: No, these live workshops are meant to be an intimate experience for the people who are participating.
Q: If I sign up, what happens next?
A: You will receive an email from the instructor, Chris Bodwitch, to welcome you soon after you register. This email will include some course information and logistics. You will receive another email approximately 1 day before the course begins with the Zoom link for the live Zoom workshop.
Q: Do I have to know how to dance or improvise movement?
A: Absolutely not. Anyone is welcome to explore their emotions within their own range of physicality. Most of the activities are standing and moving the arms and upper body. However, you can participate and play with your creative emotions and body in any position (like sitting or laying down) and at any level of mobility.
Q: Do I have to keep my video turned on to participate in the workshop?
A: No. You can enjoy the workshop without having your video on throughout the entire workshop, or you can turn it on and off as you desire. It’s important to feel uninhibited and relaxed, and to create a fun and safe space to try new ways of moving, feeling, and learning.
About the Instructor
Chris Bodwitch is a performing artist and educator who has always used improvisation to explore the unspoken truths that the body communicates. To her surprise, this ability to notice and engage with everything in the moment is a source of humor, lightness, and empathy. Chris is thrilled to share how to learn from our brilliant emotions and bodies, and how to discover awareness, healing, and pleasure.
