Amy Sedgwick is a licensed Dynamic Emotional Integration® Trainer. She lives in Nova Scotia, Canada and offers DEI workshops and training virtually through her joint business with her sister, Certified Co-Active Coach Kim Sedgwick. Together they teach about healthy relationships, sexuality and communication. Amy’s clinical practice is focused on women’s health and she brings additional qualifications to her role in that capacity, including being a certified Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner. Amy believes that rigid gender norms and patriarchal structures harm all genders in their emotional expression. She particularly enjoys teaching women to work with anger and interpersonal boundaries in order to promote better physical and mental health.
Amy’s Teaching Philosophy: I believe that working with our emotions in a healthy way is like strengthening a muscle – it takes time as well as lots of practice and commitment. My goal is to be a support along the way as you build strength with your new skills. After introducing you to the basic concepts of DEI and the intelligence of each of the emotions, I help you to fine-tune your connection to each of the emotions and to honour what they are bringing forward. Through repetition, feedback, reflection and experiential exercises, you will gradually become graceful and adept at working with your emotions, even in the most challenging of situations.
